- in Scotland, established in 1532. Cases come
- in the first place before one of the judges
- of the Outer House (corresponding to the High
- Court in England and Wales), and from that
- decision an appeal lies to the Inner House
- (corresponding to the Court of Appeal) which
- sits in two divisions called the First and
- the Second Division.
